Welcome to the fight of the season! In this article we pit the cameras of two behemoths, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the iPhone 6 and show you why the S6 outguns the iPhone with clips to spare. Read on for the lowdown!

Rear Camera

The iPhone has a very unexceptional BMP rear camera which is now even available on mid-range phones so for its huge price tag, it leaves us wanting.

Front Camera

We had the same experience with the wimpy 1.2-megapixel iPhone front camera which is surprising for a flagship model. Now we tried the same with the Galaxy S6 and were rewarded with beautiful results, all thanks to its powerful 5-megapixel front camera. That’s another round to the Samsung S6.

Galaxy S6 2 – iPhone 6 0

Aperture

So, lower aperture numbers mean a larger opening which allows more light through to the sensor. This basically means better low light photography. Galaxy S6 delivers again with an aperture of 1.9 and the iPhone lags at 2.2. So day or night, Samsung’s flagship snaps always look bright!

Galaxy S6 3 – iPhone 6 0

Selfie Angle

The Galaxy S6 zooms ahead with 90 degrees rear camera angle while the iPhone 6 gets a meagre 68 degrees. Therefore, with the Galaxy S6 you can take larger landscapes and bigger group photos without having everyone squeezing into a tight huddle.

Galaxy S6 4 – iPhone 6 0

HDR

The Galaxy S6 gives you HDR capabilities which is sadly (and surprisingly, given its hefty price tag) lacking on the iPhone6.

Galaxy S6 5 – iPhone 6 0

Conclusion

samsung-galaxy-s6-vs-apple-iphone-6-camera-shootout (7)Well, it’s an open and shut case really. As our scores clearly show, the Samsung Galaxy S6 beats the iPhone 6 on every count. Our money is definitely on the Samsung Galaxy S6.
